Message from the President
Greetings
I assumed the role of president and CEO of J-Oil Mills in April 2025. I would like to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude for your continued support and patronage.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of the J-Oil Mills Group. Looking back, however, our roots date back more than a century to the founding of our original operating companies. Throughout this long history, we have weathered various challenges and continually contributed to shaping new food cultures—always grounded in our commitment to edible oils, which are indispensable to daily life.
Today, the external environment surrounding the food industry remains challenging. Domestically, overall demand for food is expected to decline gradually due to Japan's shrinking population. Globally, climate changes and sharp currency fluctuations are affecting procurement of raw materials and energy. We believe, however, growing awareness of sustainability issues will present opportunities for our future growth, which will enable us to contribute to realization of a sustainable society. With this in mind, we will continue to operate our businesses with respect for human rights and efforts to reduce environmental impact. We are also committed to advancing sustainable sourcing throughout our supply chain, as we strive to achieve long-term growth and enhance corporate value.
The value and purpose of the J-Oil Mills Group lies in its ability to reap nature's potential and support efforts to supply food with reliable quality. Going forward, we will continue working together with all of you to realize a sustainable society, as we strive to realize our vision for the future: “Joy for Life®: Bringing joy to the future by food.”

In April 2025, he became president of J-Oil Mills.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of the J-Oil Mills Group's founding. In its more than century-long history since the founding of its foundational operating companies, the Group has overcome major changes in the times and created a new food culture centered on oil, an essential part of daily life.
Currently, the external environment surrounding the food industry is expected to remain severe, with declining demand due to a decline in the domestic population, and the adverse effects of climate change and rapid exchange rate fluctuations on energy and raw material procurement. On the other hand, the growing awareness of sustainability within the company is a foundation for future growth that will create new markets for the Group, and will also lead to a sustainable society. We will continue to make efforts to reduce environmental impact and respect human rights the basic premise of our corporate activities, and strive to promote sustainable procurement in the supply chain, promoting sustainability management in order to achieve long-term growth and increase our corporate value.
Our group's value and reason for existence lie in drawing out the potential of the bounty of nature and supporting food with reliable quality. We will continue to work with you to realize a sustainable society toward the future we aim for, "Joy for Life®-Bringing joy to the future through food®."
