Promoting Compliance

For the Group, compliance means not only following the law, but also observing corporate ethics and social norms as members of society. In order to remain a company that is always trusted by society, we strive to ensure that all employees are fully aware of this.
At our company, the Compliance Subcommittee, which is a subsidiary of the Management Risk Committee, checks whether actions are being taken in accordance with the J-Oil Mills Code of Conduct and raises awareness and makes improvements.
The Compliance Subcommittee is comprised of the heads of each corporate division and labor union representatives, and promotes the strengthening of compliance by sharing issues faced by each division within the Group and carrying out improvements and reviews.
If a compliance violation is found, we will ascertain the circumstances under which it occurred, request that the workplace where it occurred clarify the cause and report on measures to prevent recurrence, evaluate the content of the report, and after confirming its effectiveness, implement measures that will be applicable to similar workplaces as well.

Compliance Initiatives

The Compliance Subcommittee under the Management Risk Committee works to promote compliance through measures such as e-learning and compliance training, with the aim of realizing a company that is trusted by society.

Helpline Internal reporting system

We have established an internal reporting system to prevent and correct any acts that violate social norms or corporate ethics. The system can be reported anonymously both inside and outside the company, and we also protect whistleblowers. We also thoroughly inform employees about the internal reporting system through in-house training.
